To a field operative, a sharp mind is sometimes only as useful as their current state of physical sharpness is. The pandemic has dulled my physical prowess…
It’s a cliche albeit classic New Year’s resolution to get back in to shape, but the circumstances deem it an ideal one. To make the body better than last year.
2020 has been a regressive year.
If we are not progressing or even just staying still, we are regressing – because time moves along at its immutable pace whether we’re ready or not, capable or not. Thus we need to advance.
In this case I’m talking about my physical being.
The pandemic has caused me to gain more (fat) weight than I have ever in my life as well as lose more muscle mass than I have ever in my life in a discernable time period. It should be the opposite.
Those 2 dynamics need to be reversed.
That is my goal for 2021.
To not just get back into shape but to be better in shape than I was before the pandemic, pre-2020.
I believe many of us (knowingly or not) used the pandemic as an excuse to become complacent on physical training and healthy eating. Because it’s so much easier to not train or eat whatever you want.
So if you’re guilty of this as I am, let’s reverse course to work and earn a better body this year.
