With the practice of hyper compartmentalized go-bag packing, it should advance to the uncategorizable and smallest of items with this method.

As previously covered about compartmentalization, this guide expands on that to the smallest and less categorical items of a go-bag setup and loadout.

Every item in your kit should be grouped together by category or purpose and organized into separate internal bags / cases. These are the exceptions.

– The bits and pieces of random but useful things too small to just throw in a backpack.

– Spare parts and specialized tools for gear repairs and modifications or field use.

How to Live Out of a Backpack: Parts, Bits and Pieces

GoTubb Medium (x2) // Humangear
       $8+   |   INTEL   |   BUY »

GoTubb Small (x2) // Humangear
       $7+   |   INTEL   |   BUY »

Just like separating underwear, tops and bottoms to different packing cubes, these should be packed into different cases, separate from other hardware.

However, these containers should be hard encased or at least have a semi-rigid body and be compact.

This simple step of additional organization prevents these otherwise vulnerable items from being temporarily “lost” or forgotten within your pack.

More importantly, your pack fluidity, efficiency and functionality is increased.
